Keeyns appoints Eoin Fitzgerald as Head of Tax Technology for the MENA region.
Keeyns is pleased to announce the appointment of Eoin Fitzgerald as Head of Tax Technology for the MENA region, marking the company’s first hire in the region and an important step in its international expansion.
Eoin brings more than 20 years of experience in indirect tax and tax operations. Most recently, he spent thirteen years at Dell Technologies, where he served as EMEA Head of Indirect Tax for the last eight. In that role, he led a team of 30 tax professionals responsible for indirect tax across 43 countries, covering end-to-end tax operations from supply chain changes and deal support through large scale compliance, managing legislative change and the revenue audit cycle.
Prior to joining Dell, Eoin spent eight years in consulting with BDO, where he developed a strong technical foundation working alongside former revenue officials and indirect tax specialists.
Eoin’s move into tax technology reflects a broader shift within the profession. Having led large, complex in-house tax operations, he has seen first-hand the limitations of manual and fragmented ways of working, and the growing need for structure, visibility, and control.
Dubai will serve as Keeyns’ regional hub for MENA, reflecting the region’s rapid growth, increasing regulatory sophistication, and strong appetite for technology-led solutions. With many regional and global headquarters based in the UAE, and fewer legacy systems to unwind, the region presents a natural environment for modern tax operations.
Ruben van Aarle CEO of Keeyns, commented:
“We are very proud to welcome Eoin to Keeyns. His experience leading complex tax operations at scale, and his decision to join us, reinforces our belief that tax teams are ready for a different way of working. The MENA region is an important focus for us, and Eoin is the right person to help us build there.”
Eoin added:
“After many years working inside large in-house tax teams, I have seen how difficult it can be to maintain control and confidence as complexity grows. Keeyns brings together structure, technology, and real tax understanding in a way that genuinely supports tax teams. I am excited to help organisations across the MENA region rethink how they manage tax operations.”
