    FAQs regarding hiring @ KEEYNS

How can we contact the KEEYNS team?

If you have any other questions, please send us an email at careers@keeyns.com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

How do you handle my personal data?

If there is an open position at KEEYNS, we process personal data in order to evaluate the candidates’ qualifications, knowledge, and skills. This information is essential for successful management of the recruitment process, as we need to determine which candidate would be the best fit. In this regard, disclosure of your personal data is a condition for us to review your application.

We may also process your personal data so that we can contact you if any job opportunities arise in the future where you might be a good fit. This is, however, limited only to those applicants who give us consent for such retention of personal data during a recruitment process or who send us an open application letter.

    Who can see my application?

By default, your application will be visible only to the responsible recruiter and people involved in the selection process.
If you want to learn more about how we handle your data, please read our Privacy notice.

How can I withdraw my application?

When you enter the recruiting process, one of KEEYNS’ team members will be assigned to you. That person will be responsible for you as a candidate and will lead you through the entire process.

If you change your mind about a particular job at any time, you may withdraw your application by contacting them. On the other hand, if you’ve already received a job offer, you can simply decline it and exit the process in that way.

How soon will I know if a hiring decision has been made?

We try to move really fast and respect your time. So under normal circumstances, you will be receiving status updates from your designated contact within a few days of the last stage of the process.

How long will my interview take?

As with any interview, times vary, but usually, it takes 45 min and in some cases 1 hour. If you want to be sure, we suggest you check with your designated KEEYNS contact. But no matter how long it takes, we’ll do our best to make you feel comfortable during the entire process.

How will you test my skills and experience?

During interviews, please make sure to demonstrate how you meet the requirements of the job description by sharing specific experience from your past that makes you a great fit for that role. For some of our openings, you may be asked to do an exercise (answer some technical questions, share your portfolio, or provide examples of your work in other ways). Some exercises might be performed in an async environment - we’ll send you a document with questions and you need to submit your answers in a written format.

You’ll be informed about the next steps and possible exercises by your KEEYNS contact promptly during the interview or at the latest stage through a follow-up email after the interview.

Could I ask questions during the interview?

Of course, your interview is an opportunity for you to get to know us too. Questions you might ask can demonstrate your level of understanding, motivation, and interest, so don't hold back.

    How can I prepare?

Help us get to know you by explaining how your previous experience and successes have prepared you for the role you’ve applied for at KEEYNS. Review the job description and do a bit of research on the product, team, and our company.

Can I speak to anyone before I decide to apply?

Absolutely, if you’d like to speak to anyone from our team, please reach out to us on careers@keeyns.com where we will connect you with someone already in the role you are considering applying for.

Alternatively, you can also check out our team page on LinkedIn and directly reach out to either of our colleagues who can openly talk to you about what it’s like working at KEEYNS and anything that you’re particularly looking to verify about us.

Can I apply for more than one job at the same time?

Yes, you can apply for multiple job openings.

As an engineer, I work with a different technology stack than what’s mentioned in the job description, would this still work?

Of course. We value your knowledge and knowing more than it’s requested can be only a benefit for you. We look at technologies as tools that solve problems. We focus on problems, not tools.

What information should I include in my application?

We want to see what were your accomplishments and how your specific skills might be applied to a position at KEEYNS. Make sure to add your accomplishments in previous jobs — not just your duties.

We are also trying to get to know you as a person and co-worker so feel free to add details about your working style, what kind of environment you like to work in, and what motivates you.

Can I apply from anywhere in the world?

KEEYNS is currently based and geographically distributed across Europe. We’re primarily looking for people in European countries in order to keep people within a similar time zone.

However, for promising individuals, we are happy to make an exception.
KEEYNS will soon hire globally, and we will be able to welcome talent across multiple regions. If that is the case, our job descriptions will indicate this.

What's the best way to apply for a position at Keeyns?

The best way to apply for a role at KEEYNS is through our website.
You can visit https://keeyns.com/careers, select a role you find interesting, and you can submit your application right from there.

There’s not a role that currently fits my experience, can I still contact you and express my interest?

Absolutely! We sometimes may not have the ideal role for you, but we are growing fast and would still love to hear from you.

Tell us a bit about your background, what you’re looking for and we will get in touch for any potential opportunity.

Open applications can be sent to careers@keeyns.com.

What are the perks that KEEYNS currently offers?

We offer numerous perks at KEEYNS and are continuing to add more to give our team everything they need to have the best employee experience. Some of the perks include:
    - Freedom to work fully remote
    - Fully equipped tech gear and whatever you need for your ideal office workspace
    - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays in your local country
    - Ability to work in an async environment - we like writing to communicate when meetings are pointless and meet when it matters.

What to expect throughout the process at KEEYNS?

We want to make sure that you learn as much as possible about KEEYNS’ industry, the problem we solve, our products, our culture, and the nature of the role and team you’re currently being considered for. At every stage of the process, our hiring team will cover the above points in order to gain everyone’s perspectives on what’s important.

In addition, we will share additional material that can help you with your research and allow you to ask as many questions as you like; as we know, this is a mutual conversation and not one-sided.

For some positions, we may ask you to do an exercise as this helps us evaluate your fit better. This may be writing proposals, formulating ideas, or sharing your approach to a particular topic. We aim to keep this simple and without a major time investment required from your end.

KEEYNS also understands the importance of speed in the process. Our team will work to keep the conversation active, provide updates and move within a relatively quick timeframe, giving you the best possible candidate experience.

What is important for me in order to join KEEYNS?

Be yourself. We value people over titles.

The decisions we make are a reflection of your experience and your connection with our principles–  they reflect what is important to us, both as individuals and as a company.

We trust the expertise of our team and give them the freedom and all the support they need to solve complex problems.
